T.U.S.L. supports two different scoring formats. Pick the one that works best for your league!
(Traditional Rotisserie Style)
How It Works:
Teams ranked 1st-10th in each category (6 per sport = 24 total). Sum your ranks across all categories.
Winner:
LOWEST total wins! Aim for #1 finishes.
Strategy:
Balance across categories. Consider punting weak categories to dominate others.
Best For:
Rotisserie league veterans who love strategic category management.
(DFS-Style Point System)
How It Works:
Each stat earns specific points (HR = 3, TD = 6, etc.). Total up all your players' points.
Winner:
HIGHEST total wins! Accumulate maximum points.
Strategy:
Volume is king! Target elite producers who stuff the stat sheet.
Best For:
Fantasy football players and newcomers who prefer simple, intuitive scoring.

Year-round rotisserie league with complete sport flexibility
Choose Your Sports: League commissioners can select any combination of sports for their league:
No requirements! Run a 2-sport league, 3-sport league, or the full 4-sport experience. The preference is to include all four sports for maximum year-round engagement, but commissioners have complete flexibility.
π Weekly FAAB Waivers
Free agent acquisition using your auction budget ($100/sport). Budget carries over between sports!
π₯ Injured Reserve Spots
2 IR spots per sport. Must make roster move when players return from IR.
π Active Lineup Only
Stats only count for players in your active starting lineupβnot IR!
Roster size depends on which sports your league includes:
Active Roster Totals:
π₯ Injured Reserve (IR) Spots:
Each sport has 2 IR spots for managing injured players. Total roster size = Active + IR:
IR spots allow you to stash injured players without sacrificing active roster flexibility.
β οΈ Stats Only Count for Active Lineup
Only players in your active starting lineup accumulate stats toward your team totals. Players on IR do NOT count statsβeven if they're healthy and playing in real life. You must move them to your active lineup to start earning stats!
Each sport contributes 6 categories. Total categories depend on which sports your league includes:
Complete Flexibility: Choose any combination of sports! Run a 2-sport league, 3-sport league, or the full 4-sport experience. No sports are requiredβcommissioners decide what works best for their league.
Each team is ranked 1-10 in every category. Your ranking in each category becomes your score for that category. Add up all category scores to get your total score. Lowest total score wins!
Example: In a 4-sport league with 24 categories, if you rank 1st in 10 categories, 5th in 10 categories, and 10th in 4 categories, your total score would be: (10Γ1) + (10Γ5) + (4Γ10) = 10 + 50 + 40 = 100 points. The team with the lowest total wins!
If two or more teams finish with the same total score, ties are broken using the following hierarchy:
1st Tie-Breaker: Most #1 Category Finishes
The team with the most first-place finishes across all 24 categories wins.
2nd Tie-Breaker: Most Top-3 Finishes
If still tied, the team with the most Top-3 finishes (1st, 2nd, or 3rd place) across all categories wins.
3rd Tie-Breaker: Total Combined Stats
If still tied, the team with the highest total combined runs/points/goals scored across all sports wins.
The standings table displays #1s and T3 (Top-3 finishes) columns to show tie-breaker stats at a glance.
T.U.S.L. uses an auction draft as the standard format. This creates strategic depth and ensures all teams have equal opportunity to land top players. However, leagues may opt for a traditional snake draft if preferred.
π° Total League Budget
Each team gets a $400 total budget (for 4-sport league) to use for BOTH drafting AND FAAB waivers:
Key Point: This is ONE shared budget pool! You can allocate it however you want across all sports. Spend $200 on MLB and $50 on NFL if that's your strategy!
π How Budget Works
π― Example (4-Sport League)
π‘ Pro Tip: Budget allocation is shown on each team's detail page. Study how opponents distributed their $400 to inform your draft strategy!
π FAAB Connection: Your budget also serves as your FAAB for waivers! Example: Spend $150 on MLB (draft + FAAB) and you have $250 remaining for the other three sports. Budget carries over continuously throughout the season. See Free Agency & Waivers section for waiver details.
Leagues may choose a traditional snake draft format instead of auction. If using snake draft, the commissioner can determine draft order using one of these methods:
1οΈβ£ Commissioner-Set Order
Commissioner manually assigns draft positions based on league preferences or agreements.
2οΈβ£ Random Order
Draft order is randomly generated to ensure fairness and eliminate bias.
3οΈβ£ Standings-Based Order (Reverse)
Draft order is determined by current league standings from the most recently completed sport:
T.U.S.L. features a strategic free agency system using FAAB (Free Agent Acquisition Budget) bidding that runs weekly, allowing teams to add players and manage injuries throughout the season.
Each team has 2 IR spots per sport to manage injured players:
π‘ IR Eligibility: Only players with official injury designations (IL, IR, Out, etc.) can be placed on IR. Players on IR do not count toward your active roster.
β οΈ CRITICAL: Stats Only Count for Active Lineup
Stats ONLY accumulate for players in your active starting lineup. If a player is on your IR spot (even if they're healthy and playing in real life), their stats will NOT count toward your team totals until you move them to your active lineup.
Example: Your star pitcher comes off the real-life IL and pitches 7 shutout innings. If he's still in your IR spot and not moved to your active roster, those stats are LOSTβthey won't count! You must activate him to start accumulating stats.
β οΈ Returning from IR: When a player is healthy and ready to come off IR, the team owner must make a roster decision:
You cannot keep a healthy player on IRβroster moves must be made when players are activated. Delay the move and you'll miss out on their stats!
Your total budget ($400 for 4-sport league) is used for BOTH drafting AND FAAB waivers throughout the season. See Auction Draft Format section above for complete budget details.
π― How FAAB Works
π Weekly Waiver Process
β‘ Key Strategic Tension
Spend aggressively at drafts for top players but have limited FAAB for injuries and breakouts, OR draft conservatively to dominate the waiver wire all season long. Your budget management strategy is crucial!
Best Ball is NOT a league format - it's a separate contest format where you pay an entry fee, draft once, and compete for cash prizes.
β NOT in Best Ball:
β Best Ball IS:
π₯ COMING SOON π₯
Multi-Sport Best Ball Contests
A contest format where you draft once, compete for cash, and never touch your roster again.
Pay an entry fee, draft your team in an auction, then your optimal lineup is automatically calculated each week. Top finishers win cash prizes. Zero maintenance required after the draft.
π° How It's Different from Standard Leagues:
Standard League:
Best Ball Contest:
β Perfect For:
π― Key Features:
New draft windows open every day at noon. Pay your entry fee ($25, $50, or $100 contests), and wait for the draft room to fill (20 teams per contest).
Live auction draft! Nominate players, bid against opponents, build your roster. $100 budget for MLB (first sport). Budget carries over to NFL, NBA, NHL drafts later in the year.
β‘ Pro Tip
Bigger rosters than traditional T.U.S.L. means depth matters! Draft backups for every position.
That's it! No weekly moves, no FAAB bidding, no lineup setting. Your best players automatically count each week. Check standings, watch games, root for your team.
When NFL season arrives (September), same contest continues. Another auction draft with your remaining budget. Same 20 teams. MLB + NFL points combined.
Then NBA + NHL drafts in October. Your contest runs April through April β full year of competition!
Top 5 teams split the prize pool at season end. Typical payout (20-team, $50 entry = $1,000 pool):
Larger rosters, no IR spots. Since there are no waiver pickups and no weekly management, you need depth at every position. Your best eligible players auto-start each week.
Optimal lineup auto-selected each week based on actual stats
Backup QB crucial for bye weeks!
More games = more chances to shine
Goalie depth = championship insurance
π Total: 40 Players Per Team
12 MLB + 10 NFL + 8 NBA + 10 NHL = 40 roster spots. No IR, no waivers, no weekly moves. Draft smart and let the best ball!
Contest Details:
π‘ Multiple Entry Strategy
Enter multiple contests at different entry levels! Diversify your strategy across $25, $50, and $100 contests. Different rosters = more chances to win.
Less time commitment: Draft once, no weekly lineup setting
Cash prizes: Win real money, not just bragging rights
Play multiple contests: Enter 5, 10, 20 different contests!
Join anytime: New drafts every day, no waiting for league to fill
Year-round action: Underdog = 1 season. T.U.S.L. = 4 sports, full year
Auction format: Snake drafts are boring. Auction = true strategy
Budget management: Spending carries across sports = mega-strategy
Smaller fields: 20 teams vs. 12 = more competition, bigger prizes

When do drafts happen?
New draft windows open every day at noon EST. Once 20 teams enter, the live auction draft begins (usually within 1-4 hours).
What happens if I can't make the draft?
You'll be notified 30 minutes before draft starts. If you miss it, our autopick algorithm will draft for you using average auction values. But we highly recommend attending your draft!
How does the budget work across all 4 sports?
You start with $100 for MLB draft. Whatever you don't spend carries over to NFL draft in September ($0-$100 remaining). Then to NBA/NHL drafts in October. Strategic budget management is key!
Can I enter multiple contests?
Yes! Enter as many as you want. Each contest is independent. Common strategy: Enter 3-5 contests with different roster constructions.
When do I get paid if I win?
Prizes are paid within 48 hours of season end (late April). Payments via PayPal, Venmo, or check.
Is this legal?
Yes! T.U.S.L. Best Ball is a game of skill (not chance), compliant with fantasy sports regulations in all 50 states. Must be 18+ to play.
Alternative scoring format: Points per stat instead of category rankings
| Stat | Points | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| Home Run (HR) | 3 | Most valuable offensive event |
| RBI | 1 | Direct run production |
| Stolen Base (SB) | 2 | Scarce skill, high value |
| Hit (H) | 0.25 | Volume stat, batting average proxy |
Example Player:
30 HR, 100 RBI, 20 SB, 180 H
= (30Γ3) + (100Γ1) + (20Γ2) + (180Γ0.25) = 275 points
| Stat | Points | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| Win (W) | 4 | Team success, harder to get |
| Strikeout (SO) | 1 | Dominance indicator |
Example Pitcher:
15 W, 200 SO
= (15Γ4) + (200Γ1) = 260 points
π‘ MLB Strategy Tip:
Power + Speed combo is king! A 30 HR / 30 SB player is worth 150 points from those categories alone. Don't overlook consistent hit producers - 200 hits = 50 points.
| Stat | Points | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Passing Yards | 0.04 | 1 pt per 25 yards |
| Passing TD | 4 | Standard scoring |
Example QB:
4,000 passing yds, 30 TDs
= (4000Γ0.04) + (30Γ4) = 280 points
| Stat | Points | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Rushing Yards | 0.1 | 1 pt per 10 yards |
| Rushing TD | 6 | Standard scoring |
| Receiving Yards | 0.1 | 1 pt per 10 yards |
| Receiving TD | 6 | Standard scoring |
Example RB:
1,200 rush yds, 10 rush TDs, 300 rec yds, 3 rec TDs
= (1200Γ0.1) + (10Γ6) + (300Γ0.1) + (3Γ6) = 228 points
π‘ NFL Strategy Tip:
TDs are king! A TD is worth 60 rushing yards or 150 passing yards. Target red zone threats and elite QBs who throw 30+ TDs. Dual-threat RBs (rushing + receiving) provide huge value.
| Stat | Points | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| Points (PTS) | 0.1 | Volume scoring stat |
| Rebounds (REB) | 0.15 | Slight premium over points |
| Assists (AST) | 0.2 | Playmaking bonus |
| Steals (STL) | 0.4 | Scarcity bonus! |
| Blocks (BLK) | 0.4 | Scarcity bonus! |
| Field Goals Made (FG) | 0.1 | Efficiency indicator |
Example All-Around Player:
25 PTS, 8 REB, 7 AST, 2 STL, 1 BLK, 10 FG per game Γ 70 games
= [(25Γ0.1) + (8Γ0.15) + (7Γ0.2) + (2Γ0.4) + (1Γ0.4) + (10Γ0.1)] Γ 70 = 490 points
π‘ NBA Strategy Tip:
Steals and blocks are GOLD! Worth 4Γ more than points. A player averaging 2 steals per game over 70 games = 56 fantasy points just from steals. Target versatile players who contribute across all categories.
| Stat | Points | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| Goals (G) | 2 | Hardest to score |
| Assists (A) | 1.5 | Playmaking value |
| Shots on Goal (SOG) | 0.1 | Volume bonus |
| Power Play Pts (PPP) | 0.5 | Extra bonus |
Example Forward:
40 G, 50 A, 250 SOG, 35 PPP
= (40Γ2) + (50Γ1.5) + (250Γ0.1) + (35Γ0.5) = 182.5 points
| Stat | Points | Why? |
|---|---|---|
| Wins (W) | 3 | Team dependent |
| Saves (SV) | 0.05 | Volume stat |
Example Goalie:
35 W, 2,000 SV
= (35Γ3) + (2000Γ0.05) = 205 points
π‘ NHL Strategy Tip:
Elite goal scorers are premium! A 50-goal scorer gives you 100 fantasy points from goals alone. PP specialists provide bonus value. For goalies, target workhorses on good teams - wins and volume both matter.
